A woman accused of driving under the influence while her toddler son was with her waved at a state trooper’s camera and screamed she was going to “call CNN” during her arrest, dashcam video obtained by WPLG-Ch. 10 shows.

The Florida Highway Patrol dashcam video recorded Saturday night’s arrest of Colleen Loughman along Interstate 95 in Broward County.

Loughman, 43, of Boynton Beach, was charged with driving under the influence and child abuse without great bodily harm after reports of a red car was seen driving on its rim on Hollywood Boulevard, according to an FHP arrest report.

While on the lookout for a car fitting that description, troopers saw Loughman’s red Kia Sorento parked in the emergency lanes of northbound I-95, just north of State Road 84, around 10:40 p.m. Saturday. The car had “no front tire” and the rim “was severely damaged,” the report said.

Sitting inside the car with the ignition on, Loughman slurred her words as she told a trooper she was trying to get home.

According to the report, she look “disheveled” and smelled of alcohol. When asked to get out of the car, she used the side of the vehicle to balance herself as she walked, the report said.

After Loughman failed the sobriety field exercises, troopers tried to arrest her, but she fought them off, pulling her arms away as she was about to be handcuffed.

Loughman can be heard on the recorded video shouting “Oh my God, no, no, I just passed all the tests,” and “I’m going to call CNN.”

Following her release on bond, Loughman told WPLG, “please leave me alone,” when asked to comment about her arrest.

According to the arrest report, Loughman told Florida Highway Patrol troopers she had two beers and took pills — three Xanax and one Zoloft — with her dinner before getting behind the wheel.

As she was handcuffed, her 2-year-old son was fast asleep in the backseat of the car.

The toddler was released into his father’s care as Loughman was booked in jail Saturday night. She bonded out Monday night.
