Here's a list of some of the best light displays in Maryland this holiday season. Submit others you've seen.

MARYLAND — Holiday light displays around Maryland are shining bright this holiday season. We asked, and readers responded with their favorite festive shows across the state.

AbingdonAbingdon Lights, 3112 Laurel View Drive, Abingdon, MD 21009. This holiday display is back for the 12th year and is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. Tune your radio to 93.5 FM to listen in to the show, which runs from 5:30-10 p.m. daily until Monday, Dec. 31. Check the Abingdon Lights Facebook page in the event of bad weather.

Annapolis Lights on the Bay, 1100 East College Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21409. Held at Sandy Point State Park, the display is celebrating its 25th season this year. The 2-mile drive along the Chesapeake Bay features more than 70 exhibits, including those inspired by historic Annapolis, the U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen, Santa's Train Station and North Pole Penguin Village. The show is open from 5 to 10 p.m. nightly through Jan. 1, 2019. All proceeds will go directly to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to help care for the animals. Tickets are $15 for a car or minivan, $30 for passenger vans and minibuses and $50 for buses.



Baltimore Miracle on 34th Street, 720 West 34th Street, Baltimore, MD 21211. The entire block is decked out for the season. Some owners invite people up to see the various festive treasures in store at their Hampden homes. It's open from 6-11 p.m. until Dec. 31. Lights stay on all night for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Admission is free.



Bel Air — Brad’s Christmas Light Show, 1722 Edwin Drive, Bel Air, MD 21015. New this year are the illuminated fog machines and 10 mini pixel trees. Tune in to 92.7 FM for the 15-minute show. Creator Brad Paulsen encourages donating to Make-A-Wish. Hours are 5:30–10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The show is weather-permitting; check the Brad's Christmas Light Show Facebook page for updates.



Bel AirCedar Lane Spectacular Christmas Light Show, 1111 Cedar Lane, Bel Air, MD 21015. A 22-foot-tall Christmas tree, light-up piano and fan of light are some of the special features. People can put money in the lock-box in front of the house or donate online to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation if inclined. The 18-year-old light show creator says his diagnosis and desire to find a cure were part of what inspired him. Hours are 5:30-11 p.m. nightly from Dec. 24–Dec. 31.

Bel Air Kurtz Christmas Lights, 1205 Corinthian Court, Bel Air, MD 21014. Visible from about 0.5 mile away, this light show has 10 songs that evoke a variety of emotions on its playlist. Listen to 87.9 FM to hear it. The light show runs until Monday, Dec. 31. Hours are 5-9 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday; and 5-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.



Bel Air Spencer Family Holiday Lights, 3107 Nova Scotia Rd, Bel Air, MD 21015. There are about 10,000 lights and hundreds of blowmolds.



Bel Air — St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1200 E Churchville Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014. A train garden is open inside the church on the weekends (Friday to Sunday). Hours for the light show are 6–10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 6–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Get more details here.


Belcamp — 1266 Courtney Ln, Belcamp, MD 21017.


Catonsville —2804 Nine Mile Circle, Catonsville, MD 21228. Listen to 91.1 FM. The lights are on from 6-10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 6-11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through New Year's Eve.



Clarksburg — 11528 Elk Horn Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871. The display includes inflatables and a mailbox for Santa. Homeowner Michael Kim says the lights will be on from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weeknights, and for 24 hours on the weekends.

Columbia — Symphony of Lights, 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, MD 21044. It's $25 per car to drive through this roughly 1-mile route around Merriweather Post Pavilion that features 100 light displays. The annual spectacle is a fundraiser for the Howard Hospital Foundation. Symphony of Lights is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hours are 6-10 p.m. from Nov. 22-Dec. 30. The larger-than-life light display will be open Christmas Eve (Monday, Dec. 24) and Christmas Day (Tuesday, Dec. 25).

Crofton — 1540 Crofton Parkway, Crofton, MD 21114. Brian Knudson's display includes several animals. His lights are on from dusk until 2 a.m.

Crofton 1714 Spring Green Avenue, Crofton, MD 21114. This display is in its 15th year. It will be up until Dec. 31 from dusk to 9 p.m., according to creator Kyle Farmer.

Dundalk — 2525 McComas Avenue, Dundalk, MD 21222.



Ellicott CityEllicott City Lights, 4802 Red Hill Way, Ellicott City, MD 21042. Take in the show — which includes lights for Orioles, Ravens and Terps fans — while sipping hot cocoa and munching popcorn. Drop off nonperishable goods for the Howard County Food Bank. The show runs from 5:30 to 10 p.m. nightly until Dec. 31.



Essex — 1510 Galena Road, Essex MD 21221. There are five songs synchronized to lights as part of this display.


Essex — 43 Yew Road, Essex, MD 21221. For the past seven years, Frank Mitchell has put on a holiday light show synchronized to music. Tune in to 102.9 FM or listen through the speaker outside the house. Lights are on 5–10 p.m. weekdays and longer on the weekends.



Mount Airy — A Mt. Airy Christmas, 506 Eventide Court, Mount Airy, MD 21771. The show runs from 6-9 p.m. nightly from the day after Thanksgiving to the day after Christmas.



Ocean City Winterfest, Northside Park, 100 125th St, Ocean City, MD 21842. Take the Winterfest Express trolley to see the lights. It is $5 for those 12 years and older and free for kids younger than 11. The show runs Nov. 15-Dec. 31 and is open 5:30-9:30 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 5:30-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.



Pasadena House of Christmas, 1221 Sedge Court, Pasadena, MD 21122. The 60,000-light display is on from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. Hours are 5-11 p.m.



PylesvilleA Newton Noel, 2111 Telegraph Rd, Pylesville, MD 21132. A 28-foot snowflake wall, giant star of Bethlehem and nativity scene are among the attractions. Donations are accepted for Norrisville United Methodist Church, Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company and Norrisville Elementary School. Hours are 6-9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 6-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.



Severn Mamulaville — Happy Festivus, 545 Ringe Drive, Severn, MD 21144. Robbie Mamula says that Clark Griswold is his hero. There's even part of the display dedicated to him this year.


Severna Park — 7 Woodbent Drive, Severna Park, MD 21146. This light show runs from 5:30-10 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 5:30-11 p.m. Friday to Sunday. To listen, tune the radio to 91.1 FM. About nine or 10 songs are set to music, which resets every half hour. The last show is Dec. 31.

Silver Spring — 13613 Colefair Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20904. Singing Christmas trees, Santa's workshop and reindeer barn, animatronic Frosty the Snowman and other elements round out this holiday display, which is up until the weekend after New Year's. From Sunday to Thursday, lights are on from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, the lights are on from 5 to 11 p.m. You can also tune in on 88.3 FM. If you want to see display, creator Mark Fine asks that you park behind the rope lighting and not in neighbors' driveways.


Timonium — 53 Greenmeadow Drive, Timonium, MD 21093. This home takes a month to decorate. During hours when the lights are on, the backyard is a winter wonderland open to visitors. There are reindeer and a sleigh on the roof. Hours are 5-10 p.m. daily.

Upper Marlboro— Watkins Regional Park, 301 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774. The Festival of Lights is a 2.5-mile wonderland people can drive through, sponsored by the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation. Highlights are the 54-foot LED musical tree and other displays made as part of the 2.5-million-light show. Tickets are $10 for a car/van, $20 for mini-bus/limo and $30 for a bus.
