Kathy Manning to speak at Shrimperoo Fundraiser in Davidson

The Davidson County Democratic Party annual Shrimperoo fundraiser will feature keynote speaker Kathy Manning, candidate for North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District.

Dinner and the program will be held at Ocean View Restaurant, Cotton Grove Road, Lexington at 6:30 p.m.

Music will be provided by Ken Davis.

Other speakers include candidates Anita Earls for the North Carolina Supreme Court and John Arrowood, Allegra Collins, and Toby Hampson for the North Carolina Court of Appeals; Derick Kelly for county commissioner; Wendy Sellars and Lewie Phillips for the North Carolina House in District 81 and Cheraton Love for the North Carolina Senate in District 29. School board candidate Phil Olshinski will also address the group.

“This event provides an opportunity to learn more about our candidates and enjoy Ocean View’s delicious shrimp, flounder, and chicken tenders,” stated Tina Royal, chairwoman of the party.

The group will also collect nonperishable food items to be distributed to Pastor’s Pantry in Lexington and Cooperative Community Ministry in Thomasville during the event.
