A Whitpain Township police officer was injured after being struck by a car in Montgomery County Thursday.
A dark-colored sedan struck the yet-to-be-identified officer near the intersection of North Wales Road and Pulaski Drive in Whitpain Township around 6:30 p.m.
The sedan stopped briefly then fled, said police.
The officer was taken to a hospital, listed in stable condition with a leg injury. He was home and "doing well" Friday, said police.
Police identified the driver as a 46-year-old Lansdale man who was cooperating with investigators, said police.
