FBI Offering $10K For Info On Bank Robbery Suspect

The 'Froggy Robber' is suspected of knifepoint bank robberies in Canby, Portland, Beaverton, and Wilsonville between October and last week.

The FBI is offering $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a serial bank robbery suspect who's allegedly struck multiple locations in the Portland metro region.

Dubbed the 'Froggy Robber' by law enforcement, the suspect has reportedly leapt over the teller's counter before threatening bank employees with a knife during each robbery.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 20 and 35 years old, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-7, and weighing roughly 150 pounds.

The first robbery occurred at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 19, 2017, at the Canby Columbia Bank, 1455 S.E. First Ave. FBI authorities say the suspect was wearing a black Columbia raincoat with a bright orange Oregon State Beavers' logo on the front and "Columbia" written on the left sleeve, and a black cap.

The same suspect is accused of robbing the Albina Community Bank at 2002 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. just after 11 a.m. Nov. 27. In that robbery, the suspect was reportedly wearing a light gray sweatshirt and black baseball cap, grey jeans, white and black sneakers, and a black backpack.

On Dec. 27, the suspect was reportedly captured on surveillance images robbing the Wells Fargo Bank at 8699 S.W. Main St. in Wilsonville at 11 a.m. That time, he was wearing a black hoodie and black beanie, and a black backpack covered in elastic cords, authorities said.

The most recent robbery occurred at 10 a.m. Jan. 11 at the Wells Fargo Bank at 6785 Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway in Beaverton. That time the suspect was wearing a black Oregon State Beavers jacket and black and white sneakers.
