False alarm, people.
Ryan Ruocco, Sabathia’s “R2C2” podcast co-host, said Sabathia is fine.
“For the record CC didn’t actually tear his ACL lol," Ruocco tweeted.

Sounds like CC Sabathia’s first appearance as an instructor in Yankees camp could be in jeopardy.
The retired starting pitcher said Monday that he tore his ACL skiing. Sabathia and his family were on vacation in Finland.
“Doing all the (expletive) my contract never allowed me to do,” Sabathia wrote in announcing the injury.
“Dr. Ahmad, I think I tore my ACL,” Sabathia added, referencing the Yankees’ team physician, Dr. Christopher Ahmad.
Sabathia retired after 19 seasons last year. He’s set to serve as a special assistant to general manager Brian Cashman. He’s also listed a Yankees spring instructor, though it’s unclear when he planned to show up. He was expected to wear No. 52 — his number when he played.
Sabathia has a strong case for the Hall of Fame. He went 251-161 with a 3.74 ERA in 561 starts. He helped the Yankees to a 2009 World Series win, nabbed an American League Cy Young in 2007, and appeared in six All-Star games.
The Yankees are opening single game tickets to their 2020 home games at Yankee Stadium on Thursday with a Mastercard exclusive presale at Yankees.com through its partnership with Ticketmaster, the club announced on Thursday. That sale began at 10 a.m. ET, while general public single game ticket sales begin on Monday, February 24.
Fans who do not have a Mastercard and want to buy tickets prior to Monday’s sale opens can find them on StubHub and SeatGeek.
