'His hands were all over me': Nine's Shelly Horton reveals she was groped by I'm A Celebrity winner Richard Reid while he was intoxicated on alcohol and sleeping pills
Gossip guru Richard Reid raised eyebrows when he revealed to his I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! co-stars that he once groped a journalist while drunk on the set of a photo shoot.
Now, the mystery journalist at the centre of his story has been revealed as Nine presenter Shelly Horton, who worked alongside Richard on the Sun Herald's 'S' entertainment section.
Reflecting on the incident in an op-ed piece for Nine Honey on Monday, the Talking Married host explained that Richard was 'very drunk and high' when he arrived on set during a promotional shoot for S.

'I do remember him telling me he couldn’t sleep so he’d taken a sleeping tablet and had a few wines,' she recalled.
'He was loud and unsteady on his feet. I was wearing a velvet jumpsuit (hey don’t judge it was very fashionable back then) and the lure of the fabric was too much for Richard. His hands were all over me,' Shelly said of the incident.
She later explained that Richard had attempted to urinate in a pot plant after the photo shoot- an incident of which Richard has previously spoken.

'I groped a journalist's breasts and tried to urinate on a pot plant!' During his time in the I'm A Celebrity jungle, Richard recalled the 'humiliating' event in detail, describing it as one of the catalysts for his vow of sobriety seven years ago
Despite the embarrassing encounter, Shelly insisted that she wasn't offended or upset by Richard's behaviour that day, saying that she in fact found it 'funny'.
'We had a laugh and kept his behaviour to ourselves,' she recalled, adding that Richard had apologised for his conduct numerous times.
The incident was significant for Richard, as it became a major catalyst for his vow of sobriety seven years ago.

Earlier this month, the affable American star told his I'm A Celebrity campmates about the 'humiliating' event in detail, admitting he took a sleeping pill hungover, 'fell into a trance, raided the mini bar and blacked out'.
'I went to the business meeting, grabbed a journalist's breasts, was all over Napoleon Perdis, and then they tell me I tried to urinate on a pot plant,' he said.
'None of this I remember. It was humiliating. I was so ashamed,' he said, as Justin reacted in shock: 'Oh my god.'
'It's been really hard, it's really hard what people say, 'You're not fun.' I'm fun, I'm just not drunk. I've kept my career, I'm trying to keep my looks, you know. It just works for me.'
His private struggle: Richard told his fellow celebrities that living without alcohol has been difficult, especially when people accuse him of not being 'fun' anymore
