Night Lovell Breaks Down “RIP Trust” On Genius’ Video Series ‘Verified’

Ottawa, Ontario rapper Night Lovell grabbed attention in 2016 for his project Red Teenage Melody, and last month he dropped his new song “RIP Trust.” He co-produced the track with Blank Body, and it has earned almost one million streams on Spotify.

There’s a generalization,“ he tells Genius about the song title. "Like I don’t really trust people period, but the irony in it is kind of like I don’t trust myself. I just find it hard to kind of let people into my life and shit. You know what I mean? So I guess that kind of stems from having trust issues.”
