Delta Hospice Society invites adults who have experienced the death of a loved one to come together and participate in a supportive group. Participants will have opportunities to share their experiences and feelings, and learn how to navigate their grief process. Six sessions, led by a bereavement counsellor, starts Wednesday, May 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Centre for Supportive Care, 4631 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Ladner. The Probus Club of South Delta, a non-profit club for retired and semi-retired people who wish to gather with others to enjoy learning and fellowship will hold its monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16 at the Coast Tsawwassen Inn. If you have been bereaved recently, consider joining the Delta Hospice Society’s Adult Bereavement Walking Group where you can walk and talk with others in similar situations. Participants will have opportunities to share their experiences and feelings in a safe and informal fashion as they walk for 50 to 60 minutes in the Ladner area. The Group meets at the Centre for Supportive Care, 4631 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Ladner for six Saturdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. starting on May 19 and ending on June 23. Attend a TED Talks Discussion Group at the Tsawwassen Library on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) is dedicated to spreading ideas and covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues. Listen to a pre-selected TED Talk and an open discussion will follow.
