Police In Three Towns Hunt For The Car Crash Burglar

The suspect crashed his truck into a service station in Wilmington to gain entrance for an early-morning burglary.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Police in Wilmington, Andover and Tewksbury are searching for a suspect in an early morning burglary in Wilmington who later crashed his truck into a house in Andover and fled on foot. Wilmington Police responded to a burglar alarm at 5 am Thursday morning at Jimmy's Garage on Main Street to find that a burglar had gained entry by crashing a white GMC pickup through the front of the store.

A short time later, Andover Police responded to a report that a white GMC pickup truck had crashed into a house on School Street in Andover. The driver fled on foot. As police investigated the crime scenes, they were notified that Tewksbury Police were investigating a similar break in at a service station in Tewksbury.

Police in the three towns believe the three incidents are related and are working with Massachusetts State Police, as well as police in Woburn and Boston, to identify the suspect. Wilmington Police released surveillance footage and photos from Jimmy's Service Station.
