Falcons sign Dwight Lowery, announce Josh Wilson deal

The Atlanta Falcons obtained some reinforcements for their secondary, announcing deals for safety Dwight Lowery and cornerback Josh Wilson.

Lowery is a former New York Jets fourth-round draft pick who was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011.

Lowery has 217 career tackles, 10 interceptions, three sacks, 45 pass deflections.

He started three games last season before being placed on injured reserve and then being cut. He had six tackles with one fumble recovery.

Wilson started for the Washington Redskins for the past three seasons.

He has 399 career tackles, 14 interceptions, nine forced fumbles adn 11 fumble recoveries.

Last season, Wilson started all 16 games and posted a career-high 93 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception.
