The Agawam girls lacrosse team hosted a “Pink Game” against West Springfield in remembrance of Evan Bard.

Evan Bard was killed in a drunk driving crash in May of 2013.

Participants released balloons to honor Bard before the game started Monday afternoon.

Evan Bard’s mother, Barbara Bard told 22News she’s appreciative “that everyone in our town continues to support us.”

“It’s amazing that our community continues to do wonderful things for Evan’s foundation and tells her story how she impacted kids here at Agawam High School and the community,” Evan Bard’s father, Todd Bard told 22News.

Proceeds from the game will be donated to the EvvGirl Foundation.

The project works to provide web-cams for every Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit in New England, a goal established because of Evan’s love of nursing.

The foundation also helps bring awareness to the dangers of drunk driving.
