72-year-old Massachusetts man killed in motorcycle crash
A 72-year-old Abington man was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday night.The Enterprise reports Norton police and firefighters responded to a report of a vehicular crash in the area of 198 Bay Road around 7:30 p.m. and upon arrival found that the incident involved a motorcycle, according to a statement from the Norton Police Department.Several motorists had stopped to assist and were attempting to provide first aid to the motorcyclist, Paul Deluca. A police investigation revealed that the motorcycle was traveling on Bay Road, toward Easton, when it left the roadway and struck a fence, the statement said.Deluca was transported by Norton Fire Department personnel to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where he later died.That section of Bay Road was closed for approximately two hours during the incident.The crash remains under investigation by Norton police and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
