Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17: Matthew Gray Gubler’s clown hour

Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17

Is Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17 one of the most-anticipated episode of the season? It has to be fairly high on the list.

What’s the reason for that? It’s ultimately twofold. For starters, this episode is being directed by Matthew Gray Gubler and there is always something special about those. To go along with that, it also has to do with creepy clowns. In the wake of the rise of IT and everyone out there who have a sudden fear of clowns, it feels like this episode is coming around at the right time. We’re personally not someone who brings with them some sort of extreme fear of clowns, but if the clown at the center of this episode is doing some crazy stuff, maybe that will be enough to send a chill down our spine.

Below, the Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17 synopsis has some more information on what’s next:

“The Capilanos” – The BAU is called to Oklahoma to investigate a murderous clown terrorizing the sleepy town of Guymon, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, March 21 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

For those who don’t know Guymon is a real place, and it is located right smack in the middle of the Oklahoma panhandle. It’s a good couple of hours away from any major city so we imagine that for the BAU, even getting there is quite a trip.

So why aren’t we learning more about this episode in advance?

One of the major reasons for that is simply due to the fact that the entire BAU is currently in tatters due to the fact that Linda Barnes has gone in and completely wrecked them from top to bottom. We’ve reported already that there will be appearances from the main cast coming up, but it’s still tough to know for certain who is going to be working on this particular case or if the BAU will be back together by this point.
