Boston Calling 2019 Day 2 What It Looked Like: Photos

See some of the highlights of Day 2 of Boston Calling 2019, including Odesza, Tame Impala, Sidney Gish, and Imogen Heap.

BOSTON — Day 2 of Boston Calling 2019 saw massive crowds come out for Odesza, Hozier and Tame Impala, but much of the crowd was there as early as noon to catch the first sets and enjoy the entire day. Whether it was music or comedy, Day 2 had something for every festival-goer there. Here's a peek at what the day looked like in photos:

Some fans at Anderson Paak asked Patch to take their picture. We happily obliged.
Fans loved blowing bubbles at the festival.

After she jumped down and started taking selfies with the crowd, someone said "what other performer would do that?"

The crowd goes wild as Princess Nokia dances.

This group of friends came to Boston Calling from Rhode Island to celebrate Katie Guilbault's three years of sobriety.

"I used to come to these festivals to have too good of a time," said Guilbault. It's really amazing to actually be here for the music. I'm really grateful to be actually present."

She'd been wanting to see Odesza and it lands in the third year of being sober so her friends made a road trip out of it.

Conor Soop has been to four other Boston Callings before, but this is the first time Brooke Jenzano has been.

"We love music," said Jenzano.

"What brings me back to Boston is the versatility of the line up and how it's a cool city festival. You get the festival and you get Boston," he said.

It's a good thing, too, because Soop somehow got mixed up and thought last year's lineup was this year.

"I bought tickets thinking the Killers were playing. They should bring the Killers back. Tell them that," he said, laughing.

Imogen Heap.

After her talk about the music industry, technology and changing the world, Imogen Heap walked out into the audience and sang as the crowd surrounded her.

Yep. There was ballet at Boston Calling on Day 2. Two sets of dancers took the stage for a grand 15 minutes in the arena. Anna Smith and Isabel Clayter came down from Maine for Boston Calling. They didn't expect to find themselves watching ballet.

"I've seen my cousin in the nutcracker, but never anything like this," said Smith.

"They looked like they were having so much fun," said Clayter.
