Carmelo Anthony spent some time going through Instagram comments this week, and he did not appreciate the fans who criticized him. The 10-time All-Star, who’s now with the Rockets, even went at fans who didn’t tag him.
On Friday morning, when the IG account RocketsToday asked their followers if they think Houston should’ve signed LeBron James or Anthony, one fan called Anthony a “fricking old crusty a—.” That fan received this response: “(Expletive) you.”
Anthony also took time to respond to commenters under IG videos that NBA trainer Chris Brickley shared earlier this week.
When Anthony commented back at fans on one of Brickley’s posts, he shared more expletives, but for others, he used more of a kill them with kindness approach.
It all led the Spurs’ Rudy Gay to chime in, asking, “You got time today huh cuz?”
In another video Brickley shared a couple days after that one, the trainer stood up for Anthony in the comments.
Every so often, Anthony dives into the IG comments like how Kevin Durant goes at fans on Twitter.
Once, a fan asked if he was still an elite player, and he replied, “the dumbest question ever asked.” I’d also like to take a moment to remember one of the most hilarious Twitter comebacks from Anthony.
