Texas A&M men’s tennis freshman Alex Vedri dropped a third set tiebreaker to Roberto Rosales of SMU in the ITA DI Texas Men’s Regional Consolation Semifinal at the Hurd Tennis Center Monday morning.

The Aggies were joined by players from Abilene Christian, Baylor, Incarnate Word, Lamar, Rice, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UT Arlington, UTSA and UTRGV at the ITA Texas Regional.

Vedri bounced back from a 6-1 setback in the first set against Rosales to win the second set, 6-2, and force a third set tiebreaker. As play was about to begin for the breaker, rain began to fall and forced the action indoors. Rosales captured the early momentum in the tiebreaker and advanced to the finals with a 10-4 result.
