“In Harmonic Healing, we take into consideration a lot of things,” Lancaster, who goes by “Dr. Linda,” tells Yoga Journal. “Most importantly, we take into consideration our energy field. We are physical matter. But that physical matter is not alive without energy. So the energy that we are talking about is called etheric energy. It’s our vital force (or prana) that has an innate ability to heal.”

Dr. Linda evaluates her patients using a practice known as medical radiesthesia, which is a scientific system for measuring etheric energy. By reading etheric fields, she has found that we are all loaded with heavy metals, pollution, radiation, and chemicals, which she attributes in large part to the technology overload most of us experience in our daily lives.

“Wi-Fi, cell phones—all manmade technology is disrupting our electromagnetic field,” she says. “If we are in a high-density Wi-Fi area or on our computer all day long, it’s going to affect us, including our thoughts and emotions. It’s not part of nature; we are nature. So when we are in these high-technology fields, we need to neutralize these pollutants and strengthen our etheric web and energy fields.”

As she explains in Harmonic Healing, Dr. Linda believes the body’s energy fields can be strengthened or weakened depending on the electromagnetic environment of the cells. When the environment at the cellular level is weak, parasites can take over and cause disease. When parasites and environmental stress are neutralized, the digestive power can repair, and the vital force can flow. When the vital force is restored, the disease process can begin to resolve.

“Each cell in our body has a positive and a negative flow, like a battery,” she says. “When there’s a disruption in the electromagnetic field of our cells, it’s easy to pick up parasites, including worms, fungus, bacteria, microscopic parasites, and viruses.”

So how do you begin to neutralize environmental stress, restore your digestive power, and feel your best again? According to Harmonic Healing, it’s time to start taking care of your liver.

“Not only does the liver metabolize carbs, proteins, and fats, and store vitamins and minerals, it’s also the most important detoxification organ we have, especially in an esoteric sense,” she says. “On a more spiritual level, the liver is helping us detox mental thoughts and emotional feelings.”

To strengthen the liver, Dr. Linda recommends nourishing the body by eating healthy, organic food imbibed with electromagnetic energy, which includes lots of vegetables.

“All food, if alive, has electromagnetic energy,” she says. “Minerals have an electrical charge. We need that electrical charge to rebuild our etheric force field, to strengthen our etheric web to deal with what’s coming at us.” Organic food has a stronger energy field due to the minerals grown in good, organically developed soil, she adds.

In addition to liver-cleansing recipes and a 6-week “mini-flush” that emphasizes protein and vegetables and eschews baked goods, fried foods, and dairy, Harmonic Healing also includes breathing exercises, yoga poses like Cobra and Downward-Facing Dog, meditations, sea salt and baking soda baths to neutralize radiation, Ayurvedic practices like dry brushing, and more.

Recipe: Liver-Cleansing Drink from Harmonic Healing

Used daily for the first three weeks of cleansing, this drink should be consumed as your first food of the day and taken with no other food. Let it digest for two hours before eating.

-1 grapefruit or orange, peeled and chopped (note: use orange instead of grapefruit if taking prescribed medications for which grapefruit is contraindicated)
-1 lemon, peeled and chopped
-1– 2 tbsp. cold- pressed olive oil (start with a little less, and add more as your taste buds acclimate and become able to tolerate it)
-Small pinch cayenne pepper
-1– 2 garlic cloves (if you must avoid garlic breath due to your work situation, use 2– 4 garlic capsules, available at health- food stores, and swallow with your drink)
-1– 2 tsp. ground flaxseed
-1/2–1-inch slice fresh ginger

Place all ingredients in a blender and add about 1/2 cup of water— or enough to blend into a thick drink. (Do not cover with water, or it will be too thin.) Add more water as needed. Blend on high until garlic, ginger, and ground flaxseed are thoroughly blended. Drink slowly, mixing the drink with your saliva before swallowing. Drink should be thick enough to chew. It is recommended that you make the drink fresh each morning. It does not store well for the next day due to oxidation.
