Roger Lee Cook Died In Olathe KS on Feb 2, 2018 peacefully in his sleep with his daughter Lenora at his bedside. He was born in Sykeston ND on May 5, 1933 to Ralph Cook and Betty (Olhiser) Cook. They moved to Oregon & Washington state in 1936 where they picked fruit. In 1939 they moved to San Francisco where Roger began his many years in Parochial Schools graduating from Sacred Heart High School. Roger delivered newspapers for the San Francisco News until he was 13. He moved on to work for a printer at Joseph Magnin Store until he was about 16 and moved to North Dakota to live with his Uncle Lee.

Roger was then drafted into the Army in 1953 where he went to Japan for a month, Korea for 16 months and then back to the states where he was sent to Ft Monmouth NJ. There he met his first wife who was also in the army and they married in 1955 and had their first daughter Lenora. They returned to ND for 2 years before moving back to San Francisco where they had two more daughters Yvonne and Paula. They bought a home in Linda Mar which was 1 block off the Ocean. Roger worked for Safeway Supermarket and in 1959 he started to work for Spice Islands and they transferred him to run the Distribution Warehouse in Chicago from 1960-1961. They had a larger warehouse built in Berkeley IL where Roger then bought a home in Glendale Heights. The warehouse was then bought by Vanee Foods which is where he retired from in 1989. In 1975 Roger was Divorced and later met Maureen Schram. She was employed as a secretary for Spice Islands until she left to obtain he RN degree. They were married in 1977 and continued to live in Glendale Heights until 1989 when they moved to a Farmstead in Cathay ND. They lived on the farm until 2007 when they sold it to move to Jamestown.

Roger was preceded in Death by his wife Maureen (Schram) Cook, His Father Ralph Cook, Mother Betty (Olhiser) Cook, his Sister Betty Lou (Cook) Pantell.

He is survived by his Daughter Lenora Andriacchi of Kenosha WI, Yvonne Raffety and Husband Dan of Olathe KS, Paula Bizon and Husband Lee of Brandon VT, Grandchildren Sarah Andriacchi, James Andriacchi, Kyle Raffety, Dana Bizon, Lee John Bizon JR, Andrea Bizon and Great-Grandchildren Carrie and James Jr.
