MELVILLE, N.Y.—In response to the devastation caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Henry Schein will join the Texas Dental Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation, and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Dentistry to host a symposium to help health care professionals restore and re-open their practices post-natural disaster.

The event, entitled "Recovery Empowerment Symposium: Emerging from the Storm," will be held Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT at the Denton A. Cooley, M.D. and Ralph C. Cooley, D.D.S. University Life Center in Houston. It is free for all health care professionals.

To register for the event, visit go.uth.edu/recovery. Practitioners impacted by Hurricane Irma and those otherwise unable to attend in person can watch a livestream of the symposium at go.uth.edu/recoverylivestream. The webcast will also be available on demand on Henry Schein's Road to Recovery Resource Center.

Attendees will be able to meet one-on-one with leading experts from the insurance, legal, claims management, and disaster recovery industries, as well as dental, medical and animal health professional associations, to discuss a range of topics related to their personal and professional recovery, including:

- How to access Federal agencies, including the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Association and the U.S. Small Business Administration;
- How to access insurance carriers;
- How to work with banks, financial services, and suppliers; and
- How to enhance employee morale and stay in touch with patients.

A continental breakfast and lunch will be served, and there will be a networking session for attendees and speakers at the end of the symposium.

"We at Henry Schein are pleased to partner with Texas health care leaders to provide storm-affected health professionals with the information and resources they need to get their practices back up and running," said Stanley M. Bergman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Henry Schein. "We believe the information provided during this symposium will play a crucial role in helping practitioners restore their practices and resume their roles as trusted health care providers in their communities."
