UPDATE

The San Benito Police Department has confirmed that Marta Moreno was found dead.

In a post on their Facebook page, they said, "It is with a heavy heart to inform everyone that Miss Marta Moreno was located. It was not the outcome we had hoped for and we ask that you pray for her family at this time. Please give them the space that they need as they deal with their loss. Thank you to all the search groups that assisted. It was a very difficult task to ask of anyone and yet you answered the call to help. Thank you to Mayor Ben Gomez for having friends that had a crop duster and who found her. We will conduct a press conference tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Police Department. We will not be taking calls from the media as we are still working on this case."

UPDATE

We've learned that a silver alert that was issued for Marta Moreno has been discontinued.

According to the Chief of Police with the San Benito Police Department, the alert was discontinued as an extension request by police was not approved by the State of Texas.

San Benito police said there has been no trace of Moreno during their search.
