Two people are in custody after a chase through the southeast Valley.

APACHE JUNCTION, AZ – It ended with a kiss. After a high-speed chase involving law enforcement officers from several jurisdictions, a man and woman ran from what was believed to be a stolen SUV, apparently realized there was nowhere to go, stopped, embraced and kissed.

As deputies approached, the two put their hands up, lay down on the ground, and surrendered.

The two are identified as 35-year-old Dustin Perkins and 29-year-old Lovida Flores.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office picked up the chase when the SUV was spotted near Ocotillo Road.

The SUV went east, then south, then – when the sheriff's office deployed strips to stop it – turned around and headed north.

Perkins and Flores finally crashed through the fence at the Arizona Rock Depot.

The two can be seen driving with part of the fence on the vehicle.

The SUV then crashed and the couple fled.
