I-20 accident grinds traffic to a halt near Monticello Rd,

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A large traffic mess on Interstate 20 Friday afternoon grinded traffic to a halt while authorities tried to investigate and clean up the mess.

One side of I-20 was blocked near Monticello Road by two tractor trailers that were stuck sideways.

All the cars behind the trucks were stuck until everything was cleared a few hours later.

We are waiting for word from the South Carolina Highway Patrol to see how the trucks ended up that way.
