Another Steve Jobs biopic is coming and this time, it stars "Prometheus 2" lead Michael Fassbender. The first-look trailer has been released, and here are cast, release date and other details available so far.

The official first-look trailer has been released and it shows a quite different Michael Fassbender, far from what fans have seen him in the "X-Men" franchise and "Prometheus" in 2012. The drama biopic will bring Fassbender into a more serious, more human role than his latest projects.

Other "Steve Jobs" cast members include Academy Award winner Kate Winslet who will portray Joanna Hoffman from the original Mac team, Seth Rogen as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley.

"Steve Jobs" is based on Walter Isaacson's biography of the same name and has been acquired by Sony Picture in 2011. There have been numerous Steve Jobs projects since, including actors George Clooney in the TV movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley" in 1999 and Ashton Kutcher's version in 2013.

Prior to having Michael Fassbender as the titular role in "Steve Jobs," other actors were considered for the part including Christian Bale, Leonardo di Capri, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and even Bradley Cooper. There were many changes in casting, with Bale seemingly unable to make his mind about the project.

Finally, Michael Fassbender was officially cast as the lead role, with all other cast members falling into place after a swift merry-go-round.

Comingsoon revealed the official synopsis of "Steve Jobs" film: "Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter."

"The musicians play the instruments. I play the orchestra," declared Michael Fassbender's Steve Jobs. Release date comes this Oct. 9. Watch the full first-look trailer here!
