The deadline to take out papers is Thursday, March 22. Papers are due back Monday, March 26. The last day to register to vote at town meeting and town election is Tuesday, April 17. The town clerk’s office will be open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. that day. Positions: one selectman for three years; one assessor for three years; one planning board member for five years; one board of health member for three years; one municipal light board member for three years; two library trustees for three years and one for a two-year unexpired term; one cemetery commissioner for three years; one parks and recreation member for three years, one for a one-year unexpired term and one for an unexpired two-year term; one school committee member for three years. Town meeting is Monday, May 7. The town election is Monday, May 14.

'Exploring New England Landscapes: Seasonal Pathways Across Time', 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 25; Linden Street Gallery, Summer Star Wildlife Sanctuary, 690 Linden St. Encounter, engage and contemplate New England landscapes of spring, summer, winter and fall. The selected artwork comes from the Rockport Art Association and Museum. Refreshments will be served.

Special Education Services Child Find: is an effort to identify and provide services to Berlin and Boylston children with special education needs. Health Assessment Survey: Fallon Health, UMass Memorial Health Care and the Worcester Division of Public Health/Central Massachusetts Regional Public Health Alliance are asking community members to participate in the 2018 Greater Worcester Community Health Assessment (CHA) Survey. Go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CHAsurvey2018 to participate. A CHA is conducted every three years to help understand key issues that affect residents' health and assess the strengths of communities.

Nomination Papers: are available in the town clerk's office. The annual town election is June 5. Any person over 18 who is a registered voter in West Boylston is eligible to run for elected office. To be on the ballot, you must collect signatures from 40 voters registered in West Boylston on nomination papers and have the signatures certified. Nomination papers must be obtained from the town clerk's office by April 12 and returned for certification by April 17. A list of positions up for election is available on the town website.
