As part of the show's week-long homage to video games, last night's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon saw lyrics added to the famous Super Mario Bros. theme song, courtesy of hip-hop band The Roots' Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter.
Trotter's rap came in response to a fan's wishful request that the game's theme was a little more lyrical. Trotter doesn't miss a beat as he begins throwing down his Mario beats, calling out creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Mario's origins in Donkey Kong and Princess Peach's tendencies towards getting kidnapped.
