Man Dies, Girlfriend Shot Twice in Domestic Dispute: Police

Annapolis police say two victims say a man shot his girlfriend twice, wounding her, then fatally shot himself.

An Annapolis man reportedly shot his girlfriend twice Monday morning, then fatally shot himself in a domestic dispute, according to police.

Annapolis police officers were called to the 1100 block of Madison Street, with reports of injuries, according to the department’s Twitter feed.

Arthurdella Harris, 49, and Tony Smith, 54, were found in the apartment they shared suffering from gunshot wounds. Both Harris and Smith were taken by helicopter ambulance to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Smith later died from his wounds.

Harris underwent surgery; her condition is not known.

Initial indications are that the shooting is domestic related. Harris and Smith were in a long-term relationship, police said.
