Django Unchained Trailer

"Why don't they just rise up and kill the Whites?" Yeehaw! The Weinstein Company has unveiled the second official trailer for Quentin Tarantino's highly anticipated spaghetti western Django Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx as freed slave Django (the D is silent), in high def on Apple. It's as wild, funny and downright ridiculous as you'd expect from Tarantino, but it still looks awesome in ways only he could've dreamed up. Unchained also stars Christoph Waltz as Dr. Schultz, Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie, Kerry Washington as Broomhilda, and an appearance by the one-and-only Samuel Jackson. Fire this one up!

Watch the second official trailer for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, in high def from Apple:

Django Unchained is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, who last brought us Inglourious Basterds. In the film, the Django (Jamie Foxx) is a freed slave, who under the tutelage of a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) becomes a bounty hunter himself, and together they track down his slave wife (Kerry Washington) and liberate her from the evil plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio). The cast includes Jonah Hill, Amber Tamblyn, Dennis Christopher, Walton Goggins, M.C. Gainey, Don Johnson, Anthony LaPaglia, Zoe Bell, James Russo, James Remar, Todd Allen and Franco Nero. The Weinstein Company has the film scheduled for wide release starting on December 25th, Christmas Day, the end of this year. You down?

This looks badass!

The cast is phenomenal. I hope we see either Keitel or Travolta in there, or both! Travolta as a prostitute would just be the best damn cameo since the word cameo was invented. Either that or some "Vega" relative somewhere in there. Do it.

TheRagingCajun on Oct 11, 2012

3

Definitely need some more Keitel!

4

And good call on the Vega relative, that would be a nice treat.

7

Hell. Yes.....but I kinda wish they didn't ruin the Jonah hill cameo there, but I guess then its not really a cameo.

Cody W on Oct 10, 2012

8

Yea I was kinda thinking the same, but I'm sure that full scene in the film will have more to it and still be awesome.

Alex Billington on Oct 10, 2012

9

Who was yelling at him? The cameo scene could have another cameo. Definitely Tarantino's style...

waltz and dicaprio look like they're at the top of their game - ......i'm in for their characters.

beevis on Oct 10, 2012

12

I don't know about "top". They're definitely in the game...but maybe in the middle somewhere.

trolllikebeevis on Oct 10, 2012

13

due to your name and ridiculous paraphrase - i can only conclude you're an idiot......and that's all that needs to be said.

beevis on Oct 10, 2012

14

What else can be said about someone who still uses the term 'troll'?

grimjob on Oct 10, 2012

15

exactly. and who creates an account just to respond to someone in particular - i haven't seen a loser do that for years.

beevis on Oct 10, 2012

16

I've actually seen that a few times recently on here.

17

maybe it was this clown - spamming up the bogus accounts?

beevis on Oct 11, 2012

18

We'll just assume so. Must get boring having no friends and still living with your parents.

i imagine that description fits many of the people who comment on forums like this.

Man I'm bored. My parents are out of town. Guess no family 'Operation' tonight.

Tarantino has never disappointed...cinematic genius

Corey Ross on Oct 10, 2012

22

well - i don't know about calling him a genius; but, i do know i'm eternally grateful for his giving us "reservoir dogs".

agreed - that opening breakfast scene with some classic banter from some great actors was outstanding - great movie!

Dicaprio Gives me a Jonny Depp vibe from this. especially in the end.... Love it tho

poria_ryasati on Oct 10, 2012

31

hmmm......dicaprio gave ME a "dicaprio vibe".......and you know......... considering he IS decaprio, he pulled it off pretty good! LOL

beevis on Oct 10, 2012

32

Yeah. Can't wait. I like that they threw in a snippet of the original theme song towards the end there.

grimjob on Oct 10, 2012

33

The trailer certainly gives the impression that the actors thoroughly enjoyed themselves making this movie. Tarantino has a knack for combining ripe performances and rich characterisation.

Mark Sheridan on Oct 10, 2012

34

I am totally down for this.

Chris Amaya on Oct 10, 2012

35

the cast itself make me want to watch this movie...especially Jonah Hill

quest on Oct 11, 2012

36

Looks promising but again I'm getting bored of his witty smart ass dialogue. Try something new already. That scene with blood spraying on cotton is a direct rip from another movie. Tut.

dom on Oct 11, 2012

37

It's not a rip off, it's one of the countless homages to his favorite movies that Tarantino uses in his own movies all the time. So, he didn't steal that shot due to a lack of originality, he tipped his hat to the original. There is a difference. As for the often long and drawn-out dialogues in his movies; that's just one of his trademarks. I doubt he will ever move away from that. Maybe Tarantino movies just aren't for you.

SuicidalOptimist on Oct 11, 2012

38

A tip of the hat to you, well said.

grimjob on Oct 11, 2012

39

Ohhhhhh buddy this looks amazing! After seeing a bit more of dicaprio in this trailer, I'm absolutely loving what he's doing with the character. And that Jonah Hill bit was perfect. I'm so ready for this!

Danimal on Oct 11, 2012

40

eh, wait… Why is Jonah Hill in this?? Can't currently think of a better way to spend Christmas Day, though.

ambiguish on Oct 11, 2012

41

Damnit this looks really good. Too bad Tarantino is such a douchebag...
