Breaking Bad's final two episodes will receive an extra 15 minutes, it has emerged.

Peter Gould - a producer and writer for the show - revealed that the extension for Breaking Bad would make it 75 minutes long in the US with adverts included.

"I checked and it's official. Last 2 #BreakingBad eps are 75 minutes each w/commercials. Set your DVRS accordingly. Better still, watch live!" Gould wrote on Twitter.

The drama's most recent episode 'Ozymandias' peaked at an all-time high, drawing in 6.4m total viewers on AMC.

A prequel spinoff of the programme was recently confirmed by AMC and Sony Pictures, based on Bob Odenkirk's Saul Goodman.

'Granite State', Breaking Bad's penultimate episode, is due to air on AMC this Sunday, September 22 at 9/8c, while the finale comes a week later on September 29.
