COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland Fan Relationship Management Center was honored last weekend at Aspire's Annual Leaders Retreat by receiving the "Bernie Award." The award is given to the top FRMC property throughout that given year based on its overall sales performance as well as its relationships within Aspire and the athletic department.
"It's no surprise that Maryland received this year's 'FRMC of the Year' Award," said The Aspire Group founder Bernie Mullin. "Their passion for achieving results through teamwork and the competitive and high-service culture the leadership team has built sets the standard for FRMC performance. Congratulations Terps! Fear the Turtle!"
"On behalf of Maryland Athletics, we would like to congratulate the Maryland FRMC for being the top Aspire property for 2017-2018!" said
Matt Monroe, Associate AD – Annual Giving and Ticket Operations. "The staff has done a great job this past year with raising our revenue and the service and enhanced communication they provide to our fans continue to be a tremendous asset to our athletic program."
Maryland's Fan Relationship Management Center is led by Director, Sales & Service
Howard Ticker and Manager, Sales & Service
Alec Hamm. The group was also recognized for leading Aspire in calls, talk time and referrals.
"I'm extremely proud of our team at Maryland for winning this award," said Ticker. "They bring it every single day and I am so happy for them to get recognized. It was a total team effort and I can't wait to see what we can all achieve together next year!"
"We are very excited to be able to take home this award that showcases everything that we strive for when we come in the FRMC each day, said Hamm. "It is a great testament to the team we have here at Maryland."
The Terps' FRMC also has three of the top five individuals on Aspire's company-wide hustle board for calls:
Kevin Hill (1),
Michael Stover (2), and
Malaki Roy (5). Roy also leads the hustle board in referrals.
Aspire has 40 properties nationwide, of which Maryland's FRMC won the "Bernie Award" over.
