Bristol suffered a second defeat in three European Challenge Cup games as they were beaten by La Rochelle.

Harry Thacker and Jake Heenan went over in the first 17 minutes to put the Bears 10-0 ahead, but from then on the side third in the Top 14 took control.

Gregory Alldritt and Romain Sazy gave the French side a lead at the break.

Jules Favre, Vincent Rattez and Jeremy Sinzelle put La Rochelle out of sight before Tom Pincus and Charlie Powell's tries in reply secured a bonus point.
