Michael Milken raises $5 million at charity fundraiser

No one can accuse junk bond genius Michael Milken of being afraid to ask for money.

Milken, who spent his summer stumping for dollars to fund his Prostate Cancer Foundation, raised $5 million on Wednesday night from some of Wall Street’s heaviest hitters — just hours after some had been hit up by the Trump transition team.

Billionaire David Koch was among the guests at Daniel Boulud’s namesake restaurant, which hosted the charity fundraiser. Koch was also among 800 or so donors at a $5,000-a-ticket fundraising breakfast at Cipriani’s for the president-elect’s transition efforts.

Among other heavy-hitters at Milken’s dinner were Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and private equity big Brent Nicklas.

During the dinner, “Glee” star Matthew Morrison and Broadway veteran Bernadette Peters performed.
