MICHAEL Morgan is racing the clock to be fit to face the Broncos in Brisbane on Friday night after he was a notable omission from the Cowboys’ 17-man squad on Tuesday.

Morgan is still battling injury and remains a chance to come into the side later this week with Te Maire Martin named at five-eighth in the No.14 jumper.

Elsewhere, the Rabbitohs have overlooked Robbie Farah in favour of Adam Doueihi to replace injured half-back Adam Reynolds, while Valentine Holmes retained his spot at fullback for the Sharks.

In other big news, Jackson Hastings has been named on Manly’s bench as cover for the halves after Lachlan Croker’s shaky start to his Sea Eagles career.
