Tomahawks Acquire Forward Colin Price from Odessa

JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown Tomahawks, proud members of the North American Hockey League, announced Tuesday that the team acquired the rights to forward Colin Price from the Odessa Jackalopes in a trade earlier this summer.
A native of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Price split the 2017-18 season with the Amarillo Bulls and the Coulee Region Chill. In a combined 56 games, Price collected 16 goals and 13 assists for 29 points.
"One of the areas we wanted to address heading into the upcoming season was improving our offense and we feel we definitely helped that cause by adding Colin," head coach Mike Letizia. "He is a complete hockey player in our opinion. He has good size to play the power forward role, is smart in all three zones, plays 200 feet and knows how to create offense. He had over 15 goals as a rookie last year and we expect that number to rise this year. We feel he is someone who should be able to play a heavy role for us in all situations and we are really excited about what we feel he can bring to our team."
The Tomahawks open the 2018-19 season on the road against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Friday, Sept. 14. The team returns to Johnstown for its home opener on Friday, Oct. 5 against the Jamestown Rebels.
