LITTLEFIELD, Ariz. — Two Utah teenagers were killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-15 in northern Arizona Saturday afternoon.

St. George News reports the crash occurred on northbound I-15 near mile marker 12, a few miles north of Littlefield, Arizona.

Carson Glen Koch and Brayden Eaton, both 17, were identified as the victims of the crash.

Jody Koch, Carson Kochs mother, said the two were on their way back to Sandy from a trip to Vegas.

Jody Koch stated that Carson was in the fast lane going with the flow of traffic when he attempted to pass another vehicle, but there was not enough room between the two cars. Carson ended up overcorrecting and drove off the freeway.

A bystander called 911 and reported seeing the SUV veering to the right at a high rate of speed before crashing into a hillside off the roadway.

Troopers confirmed Carson and Brayden, both of whom are from Utah, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Littlefield is located along the stretch of I-15 between St. George and Mesquite, Nevada.

A GoFundMe page was set up to help both families pay for funeral expenses. It can be found here.

According to the Koch family and the GoFundMe page, a dual funeral will be held Saturday, April 14. The viewing will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and the funeral will start at 12 p.m. at the LDS Stake Center at 8485 S 1000 E.
