Local woman hurt in SUV vs dump truck crash

BROSELEY, MO (KAIT) – Police say a 19-year-old Region 8 woman was seriously injured when she drove her SUV into the path of a dump truck.
Ashley R. Rushing of Broseley was traveling north on Route VV in Butler County Friday afternoon when she failed to stop at the intersection of Route B, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
Rushing’s 2004 Dodge Durango was struck by 2001 International dump truck driven by Matthew S. Jones, 25, of Broseley.
Rushing was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
Jones was not injured.
