Semi Runs Red Light, Crashes Into Car In Minneapolis: Police

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Three people were injured Monday afternoon in a crash involving a semi and a passenger car in Minneapolis.

At 1:40 p.m., police responded to the collision at the intersection of Dowling Avenue and Fremont Avenue North.

Authorities believe the semi was heading westbound on Dowling Avenue and failed to stop at the red light for east and westbound traffic. The truck struck a passenger car traveling northbound on Fremont, police said.

The three injured people from the car were transported to Hennepin Healthcare via North Memorial Health Hospital ambulance.
