DENVER — After a two-hour, 30-minute rain delay, the Diamondbacks-Rockies game on Monday night at Coors Field was postponed, with no makeup date immediately announced.

Both teams announced plans to push back Monday night's scheduled starters to tonight, shifting everyone in the rotation back a day. Right-hander Josh Collmenter will face Rockies lefty Tyler Matzek tonight and lefty Robbie Ray will match up against Rockies right-hander Jordan Lyes on Wednesday.

The Diamondbacks had the option of scratching their plans to start Ray and instead moving the other starters back a day, but Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said the club decided to give him the ball anyway.

"We're excited to see him pitch," Hale said.

Forecasts call for even more rain in the coming days. If the teams aren't able to play tonight, either, Hale said they likely would try to play a doubleheader on Wednesday.

Hale said Monday night's game will likely be made up in either June or September, before or after one of the Diamondbacks' remaining trips to Coors Field.
