Dancing and demonstrations on how to make arrowheads will be part of the Native American Festival that will feature more than 50 Native American tribes in Flagler County this weekend.

In New Smyrna Beach, sidewalk chalk artists will chalk up Canal Street while hundreds of artists come to nearby Old Fort Park and Sams Avenue.

The festivals are accompanied by musical performances across the area, including from the founding member of The Supremes Mary Wilson, Grammy Award-winning pianist George Winston, as well as Germany's Staatskapelle Weimar Orchestra and Florida's Jacksonville Symphony.

Native American Festival

Traditional dancing, weapon demonstrations, encampments, pony rides and wildlife exhibits come to Princess Place Preserve in Flagler County this weekend.

The preserve is located at 2500 Princess Place Road, north of Palm Coast and off of Old King Road. The Native American Festival is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Legendary Ladies of Motown

Mary Wilson, a founding member of The Supremes, will take the stage with Martha Reeves and the Vandellas at Peabody Auditorium, 600 Auditorium Blvd., Daytona Beach.

Wilson's band was behind 12 No. 1 hits, such as 1965's "Stop! In the Name of Love." Martha Reeves and the Vandellas 1964 hit "Dancing in the Street" peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Billed as the "Legendary Ladies of Motown," the show is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

New Smyrna Beach art and student films

The 56th annual Art Fiesta brings more than 240 artists and craft makers to New Smyrna Beach from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The art show will take place on Sams Avenue and in Old Fort Park.

In conjunction with the Art Fiesta, a sidewalk chalk art competition will bring art to the sidewalk in front of Canal Street businesses.  The competition is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, with judging at 1 p.m. Sunday. 

Also on Sunday, the Hub on Canal Student Film Festival will take place from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring student films and movie posters from Volusia County high school students. The free event takes place at 132 Canal St., New Smyrna Beach.

George Winston at Stetson University

Grammy Award-winning pianist George Winston — who attended Stetson University from 1967 until 1970 before leaving during his junior year — is set to perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. 

The concert, benefiting Stetson University's School of Music Scholarship Fund, will take place in the university's Lee Chapel in Elizabeth Hall, 421 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand.

General admission tickets are $40 and VIP tickets, with a post-concert reception with Winston, are $150. They are available at stetson.edu/music-tickets.

Staatskapelle Weimar Orchestra

The German orchestra, founded in 1491, will take the stage at 7 p.m. Friday at Peabody Auditorium, 600 Auditorium Blvd., Daytona Beach.

Vadym Kholodenko — who won the gold medal at 2013's Van Cliburn International Piano Competition — will perform a solo of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3.

Tickets to the performance, presented by the Daytona Beach Symphony Society, are $39-$69 and available at dbss.org.

Jacksonville Symphony

Featuring a piano solo of Sergei Rachmaninov's "Piano Concerto No. 3" performed by Behzod Abduraimov, the Jacksonville Symphony will perform in a Daytona Beach Symphony Society show Sunday.

Set for 3 p.m. at Peabody Auditorium, 600 Auditorium Blvd., Daytona Beach, the performance will be conducted by Australian Nathan Aspinall.

The McCartney Years

A period-true tribute to The Beatles and Paul McCartney and Wings, The McCartney Years comes to Flagler Auditorium, 5500 E. State Road 100, Palm Coast, on Monday.

Including 1970's "Let it Be" from The Beatles and 1973's "Live and Let Die" from Wings, the performance is set for 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $34.95 for adults and $24.95 for youth. For information, go to flaglerauditorium.org.

Shakespeare in the Park

The Palm Coast Arts Foundation will present "Macbeth" at 1500 Central Ave., Palm Coast.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday as well as 2 p.m. Sunday.

'Arsenic and Old Lace'

Old ladies give arsenic-spiced elderberry wine to lonely and elderly boarders in Joseph Kesselring's play opening Friday at downtown DeLand's Athens Theatre, 124 N. Florida Ave.

The play runs until March 18 with showtimes at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays as well as 2:30 p.m. Sundays.

'Evita'

Telling the story of Eva Peron, wife of Argentine President Juan Peron, "Evita" is set to take the stage at The Little Theatre, 726 E. 3rd Ave., New Smyrna Beach.

Running through March 11, showtimes this weekend are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday as well as 2 p.m. Sunday.

Jazz Ambassadors

The Army's Jazz Ambassadors will perform Wednesday in Deltona.

The 19-member band will take the stage at 7 p.m. at Deltona Amphitheater, 2150 Eustace Ave.

'Buddy, Roy, and Elvis Tribute'

The sounds of Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley will be performed Sunday at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 N. U.S. Highway 1.
