Tick Tock: Flavor Flav’s & Vinny’s Chicken & Pizza Arrives Soon

Water Street in Henderson will be a hot bed of new dining activity over the next year, and within the next month, locals and visitors will be able to eat at two new restaurants located within a short distance of each other.

Promising to be open by the end of October, hype man, rapper, and reality star Flavor Flav returns to his fried chicken entrepreneurial roots and will soon debut Flavor Flav’s & Vinny’s Chicken & Pizza at 139 Water Street.

Joining forces with Vinny Cimino, the operator of Vinny’s Pizzeria in Boulder City, the casual concept is holding a hiring fair on Oct. 10, ahead of the official opening.

The Henderson space will fill 1,430 square feet inside the former home of 2 Dos Portillos, in an easy-to-spot location opposite the Rainbow Club & Casino and the Eldorado Casino.

Importing established favorites from Cimino’s Boulder City base, diners should expect thin, stuffed, and Chicago-style pizza, pasta, calzones, sandwiches, cheese fries, and cannolis for dessert.

Also on the way to the southern end of Water Street, Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina is still on target for an October arrival, expanding from Spring Valley and moving into a 5,500-square-foot built-from-scratch home, next door to the Lovelady Brewing Company taproom.
