Mondovi Man Arrested on 6th OWI Charge
A 55-year-old man has been arrested and charged with his 6th OWI offense after police picked him up in Mondovi on Thursday.
MONDOVI, WI — A 55-year-old man has been arrested and charged with his 6th OWI offense after police picked him up in Mondovi on Thursday.
Michael L Gates, 55 years of age, from Mondovi has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 6th offense.
On January 19, 2017 at approximately 1:59pm, a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper stopped a vehicle for the driver failing to fasten his seat belt. This violation was on State Street north of HWY 37 in the City of Mondovi.

The driver was identified as Michael L Gates, M/W, age 55, from Mondovi, Wisconsin. A subsequent investigation revealed the driver was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.
Gates was arrested and charged with OWI-6th offense. An evidentiary blood draw was obtained. He was transported and turned over to the Buffalo County Jail.
