Amersham & Chiltern got a fantastic 20-15 win over league rivals Ruislip on Saturday.

After Ruislip scored an early try to take a 5-0 lead, Jack Kenyon, who had an outstanding game, beautifully stood up his opposite number before sprinting outside him to score in the corner. With only minutes to go to half-time Waller and then Luke Antos were tackled just short of the try line enabling Ruislip were able to clear their lines before the half-time whistle which left the score 5-5.

Antos gave Amersham an early lead in the second half with a great try before Ruislip scored a deserved equalising try to make the score 10–10, before the home side took the lead.

With just under 20 minutes to go Chiltern brought on Pearham whose impact was immediate. Long raking kicks turned the Ruislip defence and after good interplay between the forwards Antos went over for his second and Chiltern’s equalising try. From the kick-off and having secured possession on his 10m line, Pearham sliced through the defence and when he was stopped just outside Ruislip’s 22 he was able to offload to Callum Newton who broke several tackles to score Chiltern’s fourth try which sealed victory.
