Help us discover more Michigan beers

We had some the Cheboygan Brewing Co.'s Oktoberfest beer the other day.

It was very good.

But we're told it's as rare as a warm sunny Saturday in January at the tip of the mitt. Apparently, Cheboygan Brewing didn't realize how great the beer would turn out and didn't bottle enough to meet demand. Beer lovers across the state have already savored every drop, and it's not even October yet.

We need your help find more — or at least finding something comparable from one of Michigan's growing constellation of craft brewers. We need you to help us find the bar, restaurant or store with the best selection of Michigan craft-brewed beers.

Go to www.thetimesherald.com/entertainment and look for the form to nominate the establishment in St. Clair or Sanilac counties that offers the selection of Michigan-brewed beers that is Best in The Blue. Submit the name of the restaurant, tavern or store along with its location so that we can make sure we get the right place on the ballot.

Deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23. We'll compile your nominations and publish a ballot here in the Spin entertainment section on Sept. 25. Then it will be up to you to sample Michigan's rising stars of craft brewing. Remember to vote while you're at it.
