Live Nation sale: 25 San Diego concerts for $20 each

For the second consecutive year, Live Nation — the world’s largest concert promoter —is instituting a $20 “Kickoff To Summer” ticket promotion. The discounted tickets are being offered for 1,000 shows by 125 artists nationwide, including 25 in San Diego.

The sale, which began today, Friday, May 13, will continue until May 20, although supplies for each concert are limited. The deal includes all service charges, so that fans are paying $20 per ticket with no added on fees.

San Diego concerts for which the $20 tickets are being offered include concerts at Sleep Train Amphitheatre by such performers as Joe Walsh, Snoop Dogg, Dixie Chicks, Slipknot, 5 Seconss to Summer, Journey and the Ocean Beach-bred jam band Slightly Stoopid.

The $20 tickets for shows at Sleep Train Amphitheatre are all for unreserved lawn seating at the rear of the venue. The $20 tickets for show at Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU and at downtown’s Balboa Theatre are for tickets in the rear of the venue.
