1. Mardi Gras Dance at Headlands

On Saturday the Headlands International Dark Sky Park will be hosting a night full of Mardi Gras. Swing music and dancing will fill the center with music from the Jon Archambault Band with night sky observing through the night. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door.

2. Free Second Saturday at Raven Hill

On the second Saturday of every month, Raven Hill Discovery Center in East Jordan offers free admission for families between noon and 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.ravenhilldiscoverycenter.org.

3. Albert Lee Band at the Freshwater Gallery

Freshwater's contribution to Boyne City's Chocolate Covered Boyne is to host, in concert, the legendary British guitarist Albert Lee at 8 p.m. on Saturday.

4. Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra Sunday Series

The Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra will be performing a freewill donation concert as part of its current concert series at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the First Congregational Church in Charlevoix.

Join the orchestra and its brass quintet and drumheads for the hour-and-a-half performance

5. Petoskey Improv Troupe

The Petoskey Improv Troupe, a new improv comedy group, will be having a performance at the Red Sky Stage in downtown Petoskey at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Tickets are $10 in advance at the Northern Michigan Artists Market, by calling (231) 487-0000 or online at www.mynorthtickets.com. Tickets are available at the door the night of the show at $15 for adults, $8 for students or $5 for children 12 and younger.
