ATP, Pitchfork, and Primavera Sound are presenting Jabberwocky, a new music, art, and film festival that will take place at the ExCeL Centre in London August 15-16. Today, more additions to the lineup have been announced.
Nils Frahm and Younghusband have been added to the Jabberwocky lineup.
They'll join previously announced acts Neutral Milk Hotel, Liars, Panda Bear, Cloud Nothings, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Caribou, Deafheaven, James Blake, Darkside, Sun Kil Moon, Thee Oh Sees, Perfect Pussy, Mutual Benefit, Ought, Ben Frost, Forest Swords, Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, Kode9, Earth, Pissed Jeans, Connan Mockasin, the Ex, Speedy Ortiz, Iceage, Vatican Shadow, Joanna Gruesome, Metz, Jesu, the Bug, Amen Dunes, Josef Van Wissem, the Van Pelt, patten, Oso Leone, Joana Serrat, Paus, I Break Horses, Chelsea Wolfe, Hookworms, Electric Wizard, Eaux, Untold, clipping., Big Ups, Mick Turner, and the Growlers. Jabberwocky will also feature DJ sets from Andy Stott, Fuck Buttons, Fra Soler (Primavera), Pitchfork DJs, DJ Coco (Primavera), DJ Cherrystones, Spencer Hickman (Death Waltz Recordings), and Daevid Phillips.

Pitchfork is happy to team up with ATP and Primavera once again, who we have worked with many times in the past. "Jabberwocky", the poem in the wonderful 1871 Lewis Carroll book Through the Looking-Glass, is firstly a brilliant word and also the origin of the word "portmanteau." In it, Humpty Dumpty eloquently explains that in a portmanteau, "there are two meanings packed up into one word." Jabberwocky thus gives us words such as "chortled," a combination of "chuckle" and "snort," and "frabjous," a blend of "fair," "fabulous," and "joyous." Jabberwocky, the festival, is thus an elegant way to package up this collaboration between Pitchfork, ATP, and Primavera.
