FLORENCE, Ala. - A north Alabama man will remain in jail while charged in the death of his 3-month-old son.
The TimesDaily of Florence reports that a judge denied bond for 23-year-old Diego Pablo Larios of Decatur.
Larios was charged with capital murder this week in the death of his infant child, Helias Delacruz.
The baby died at Russellville Hospital in July 2011. Authorities say Larios was arrested after autopsy results showed the child died after being shaken violently.
Larios has told authorities he was only playing with the baby, throwing him up in the air and catching him.
Officials say the child suffered hemorrhaging on his brain.
