Four local junior league clubs have been provided a boost after the NSW Blues went back to their grassroots.
Cronulla Sutherland junior teams Taren Point, Como Jannali and Engadine as well as St George junior club Kogarah were recognised as winners of a Brydens Lawyers Junior League competition at the NSW Origin III team announcement at ANZ Stadium last week.
The clubs were presented with a footy pack worth $5000 by Blues coach Brad Fittler and NSW great Steve Roach, with the packs including 10 bump pads, a large marquee and 30 footballs.
Brydens principal Lee Hagipantelis said it was imperative to nurture and maintain rugby league at the grassroots level.
"Junior rugby league represents the building blocks upon which our great game has been established. Brydens Lawyers is honoured to join with NSWRL to support the 2018 junior league season,” he said.
