The Brothers & Sisters star continued: 'The TOUGHER thing to do is face it. To embrace it. Learning to deal with failure is one of the most important lessons you’ll deal with in your life. Guess what? Failure is mandatory.'
Spencer and Sorvino had encouraging words for the actor in the comments section of the Instagram thread, according to ABC News.
She said, 'I know from experience how difficult this can be. I also know that God has something bigger in store for you that can’t even imagine. What’s the saying: when one door closes ... well, forget that about the doors.
'Windows have always been my entrance. Love u.'
Staying positive: Mira Sorvino, who was also fired from the show, lauded Annable for his 'amazing positive spirit' in the face of adversity

Sorvino lauded Annable for his 'amazing positive spirit,' having one herself as she wished The Code cast and crew 'the best as they move forward.'
She said, 'I am sorry we won’t be able to work with each other on this one but I thought you rocked, had such strength and charisma, almost old Hollywood-like.'
Annable said in response to the well-wishers, 'I want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart because you have helped turn this negative into a positive for me.'
Annable wrote in his original post that he was at Disneyland with his family when he was told he would not be coming back to the show. He said he remained focused on moving forward despite the disappointing setback.
'What is the lesson here?' he wrote. 'What can I learn from this experience moving forward? I’ve yet to be given a reason but when I do you bet your a** that I will try and learn from it.'
He stressed that he was avoiding being angry or upset over the situation, as it would be a fruitless endeavor.
'If I choose anger then I’m taking on the perspective of a victim,' he said. 'I’m not a victim. This is a circumstance. It is my choice and my choice only on how I choose to deal with it.'
He said he also wrote the post acknowledging the bad news in an effort to face and conquer his fears of embarrassment and failure.
'It’s growth. It’ll never stop. It’s where all the good s*** happens that makes you a better person when you are open to seeing the right perspective,' he wrote.
In a classy move, Annable wrote, 'Watch my friends crush it on 'The Code' on CBS. Thank you.'
