(Memphis) Three people are in jail for allegedly pimping out a 14-year-old girl. Memphis Police and the FBI busted the group while investigating an internet escort site.

“Pimps? I don`t know anything about pimps,” South Memphis resident Zuvuln Gunn said.

Police say two men who lived a few doors down from Gunn’s home on Blackhawk Street were pimping out a 14-year-old girl.

“I’m surprised to hear that,” he said.

Other neighbors too afraid to go on camera weren’t as shocked. They said they saw a girl with the men all the time, but had no idea she was just 14.

Police had suspicions when they when they spotted her on Backpage.com, a website for escort services.

Police and the FBI were on the site targeting minors being advertised for prostitution.

According to the arrest affidavit police set up a meeting early this morning at a hotel in the 1100 block of Union Avenue and surprised Rodney Armstrong ,22, Trenton Mitchell,23 and Charlisa Wright, 18.

Police say the victim told them “Armstrong and Mitchell forced her to engage in prostitution and Wright was posting photos of her in an ad on Backpage.com.”

“I think that transporting human being is getting out of hand. There’s too much of that going on,” Memphian Susan Sherrod said.

Also surprising she said is the fact that Union Avenue was the site for this type of meet-up.

“That`s shocking. I guess it’s just happening everywhere. That`s sad.”

But she said nothing’s sadder than a child forced into a life of prostitution.

“They should crack down on them and find out why they are on the streets,” she said.

This crackdown has all three adults charged with trafficking for sexual servitude. Armstrong and Mitchell are held with no bond. Wright was given a $100,000 bond.
